Avui ha sortit el nou Gnome 2.26 podeu veure les notes de llançament. Em pensava que tindria menys novetats però m'ha agradat veure el brasero integrat per defecte, el video en l'empathy, elPulseAudio avançant i sobretot la integració del lector d'emprentes digitals per entrar al sistema.

Com a curiositat, a partir d'ara les contrasenyes seran dependents del mètode d'entrada escollit això voldrà dir que podrem entrar una paraula de pas en japonès i suposadament no serà igual que en català!　かわいいい！

Totes aquestes novetats les podrem tastar a la nova ubuntu 9.04 que està a prop de veure la llum!

My first post about My Gnome 3 Vision will explain how my favourite desktop it would be. The desktop must be a widget container, nor icons neither files inside, Widgets. The widgets can be placed in 5 places: the four limits of the screen (Top, Bottom, Left, Right) in a bar or in the middle of the screen (free). The bars are only visible if one widget is inside them but they are there, and you can place any widget inside them. They are configurable:

• Always on top, hide when maximize window,autho hide,  normal...
• Extended (width or height) or shrenck to the contents.
• Split in two or more bars (but tractable as one).
• And sorted  amog them (the first is on top of the oders and the oders can't extend on it)
• Thick of the bars... color, alpha

The background is a widget: video, image of something else, it could be extended, or it could be more than a background in mosaic, and it could be switched among other backgrounds avalaible every little space of time...

These are the few ideas that I have in my head, this is not much more as we have in our desktop but it's a diferent look of it and It could be powerful to serve the other ideas I have in my brain.
